Back To The Holy Sabbaths
The Savior said He was hated without a cause. Mankind hates the Laws and the Sabbath without a cause. There is no cause for hating the Holy Sabbaths. They bring the most wonderful blessings you could ever hope to experience when kept as Yahweh keeps them.
Yet the false religions of this world hate the Sabbaths and the Laws of Yahweh and have gotten the people to believe they are something evil. This hatred for Yahweh's Sabbaths elevated about 1,900 years ago, after Yahweh allowed The House of Yahweh, overseen by the Apostles, to be destroyed.
After the Apostles finished their Work in Abilene, Israyl, the Roman Empire arrested and killed eleven of the twelve Disciples of Yahshua. You can read about this in Foxe's Book of Martyrs.
The House of Yahweh and those who taught the Laws of Yahweh were killed or imprisoned and the Work of Yahweh stopped.
As we learned, the word sign is shown in the Hebrew Dictionary of Strong's Concordance to mean mark, token, sign, consent, flag, evidence of consent.
The keeping of Yahweh’s Sabbaths is a sign or evidence of consent to obedience to the Laws of Righteousness.
I
Yahchanan 3:7-8, 10—
7
Little children, let no man deceive you; he who practices
Righteousness is Righteous, just as He is Righteous.
8 He
who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has
sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Yahweh was
manifested;
that He might destroy the works of the devil.
10 In
this the Children of Yahweh and the children of the
devil are manifest. Whoever does not practice Righteousness is not of
Yahweh,
and he does not love his neighbor!
The Mark Of Yahweh Changed Through Lying
The Prophet Daniyl shows plainly that the beast would change the Mark of Yahweh. The Mark of Yahweh, as the Scriptures show is His Sabbaths and Feast Days and they mark Yahweh's Children as His Servants. Therefore, the mark of the beast would naturally be to change these Holy Days to pagan days in worship of the beast. Notice the following Scripture.
Daniyl
7:25—
And
he will speak great words against
Yahweh, and
will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the
Saints of
Yahweh, and think to change the Feasts, Holy Days, and Laws;
and they
will be given into his hand until a time, and times, and the dividing
of time.
The beast thinks to change times, the Feast Days and Laws of Yahweh. This beast deceived the world into turning from the very Laws that would give us Yahweh's Mark or identify us as belonging to Him.
None of the early believers kept the First Day of the week, Sunday, as the Sabbath. They kept the Sabbath Holy, on the Seventh Day, as commanded by Yahweh! So how did Sunday worship become instilled upon this world? The answer to this question was given before this very thing came to pass. Notice again what Daniyl told us.
Daniyl
7:25—
And
he will speak great words against
Yahweh, and
will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the
Saints of
Yahweh, and think to change the Feasts, Holy Days, and Laws;
and they
will be given into his hand until a time, and times, and the dividing
of time.
This
Scripture shows that the last
religious
power would think to change the Feasts and Laws of Yahweh. This last
religious power
has been proven to be the Roman Catholic Church and her Protestant
offspring.
As proof that the Roman Catholic Church changed Sabbath worship to Sunday worship, excerpts are quoted from Bible Readings for the Home by Review and Herald Publishing Association, Washington, DC, 1963, pages 415-418.
PAPAL POWER ACKNOWLEDGES THIS ACT
What
power
has claimed authority to change God's law?
The
Papacy.
NOTE—
“The
Pope is of so great authority and power that he can modify,
explain, or
interpret even divine laws...The Pope can modify
divine law, since
his power is not of man, but of God; and he acts as vicegerent
of God upon
earth." Translated from Lucius Ferraris, Prompta
Bibliotheca (Ready
Library),” Papa,'' art. 2.
What
part of
the law of God has the Papacy thought to change?
The
fourth
commandment.
NOTE:
They
[the Catholics] allege the change of the Sabbath into the Lord's day,
contrary,
as it seemeth to the Decalogue; and they have no example more in their
mouths
than the change of the Sabbath. They will needs have the Church's power
to be
very great, because it hath dispensed with a precept of the Decalogue.
The
Augsburg Confession (Lutheran). Part 2. art. 7, in Philip Schaff, The
Creeds
of Christendom (Harper), Vol. 3, pg. 64.
“It [the Roman Catholic Church] reversed the Fourth Commandment by doing away with the Sabbath of God's word, and instituting Sunday as a holiday.” N. Summerbell, History of the Christian Church (1873), pg. 415.
Why
did God
command Israel to hallow the Sabbath?
“For
in six
days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is,
and
rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and
hallowed it” Exodus 20:11.
NOTE:
As the
Sabbath was given that man might keep God in mind as Creator, it can be
readily
seen that a power endeavoring to exalt itself above God could do this
in no
other way so effectually as by setting aside God's memorial, the
seventh-day
Sabbath. To this work of the Papacy Daniel had reference when he said,
"And
he shall ...think to change times and laws." Daniel 7:25.
Does
the
Papacy acknowledge changing the Sabbath?
It
does.
NOTE:
The Catechismus
Romanus was commanded by the Council of Trent and published
by the Vatican
Press by order of Pope Pius V, in 1566. This catechism for priests
says:
"It pleased the church of God, that the religious celebration of the
Sabbath day should be transferred to `the Lord's day'." Catechism
of
the Council of Trent (Donovan's translation, 1867), part 3,
chap. 4, pg.
345. The same, in a slightly different wording, is in the McHugh and
Callan
translation (1937 ed), pg. 402.
Question:
How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and
holydays?
Answer:
By
the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which
Protestants
allow of; and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday
strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church."
HENRY TUBERVILLE, An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine
(1833
approbation), pg. 58. (Same statement in Manual of Christian
Doctrine,
ed. by Daniel Ferris [1916 ed.], pg. 67.)
Question:
Have you any other way of proving that the church has power to
institute
festivals of precept?
Answer:
Had
she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern
religionists agree with her; she could not have substituted the
observance of
Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the
seventh
day, a change for which there is no Scriptural
authority. STEPHEN KEENAN
A Doctrinal Catechism (3d ed.): pg. 174.
The Catholic Church by virtue of her divine mission changed the day from Saturday to Sunday. The Catholic Mirror official organ of Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23, 1893.
“1.
Is
Saturday the 7th day according to the Bible & the 10
Commandments?”
"I
answer yes.''
“2.
Is
Sunday the first day of the week & did the Church change the
7th day,
Saturday, for Sunday, the first day?”
"I
answer yes.''
“3. Did
Christ change the day?”
“I
answer no!”
Faithfully
yours,
J.
Cardinal Gibbons
Gibbons'
autographed letter.
Question:
Which is the Sabbath day?
Answer:
Saturday is the Sabbath day.
Question:
Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
Answer:
We
observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church
transferred the solemnity
from Saturday to Sunday. PETER GEIERMANN, The Convert's
Catechism of
Catholic Doctrine (1946 ed.). pg. 50. Geiermann received the
"apostolic blessing" of Pope Pius X on his labors, January 25, 1910.
The Protestant churches which were originally members of the Roman Catholic Church before they left it in the 1500’s and 1600’s of this current era, also openly admit that the sanctifying of the first day of the week (Sunday) instead of [Yahweh's] Sabbath, is a manmade institution of the churches, and not by [Yahweh] or His word. Quoted here are some of these Protestants' admissions.
The reasons why we keep the first day of the week holy instead of the seventh is for the same reason that we observe many other things, not because the Bible, but the Church has enjoined it. Plain Sermons on Catechism by Isaac Williams (Anglican, and from which came the Methodists, Wesleyans, and Pentecostals), Volume 1, pages 334 and 336.
...It was far from the intentions of the Apostles to establish a divine command in this respect; far from them, and from the early apostolic church, to transfer the laws of the Sabbath to Sunday. The History of the Christian Religion and Church by Augustus Neander (Lutheran), page 186.
It is all old wives fables to talk of the change of the sabbath from the seventh to the first day. If it be changed, it was that august personage who changes times and laws ex officio. I think his name is DOCTOR ANTICHRIST. The Christian Baptist by Alexander Campbell (Christian, Disciples of Christ, Church of Christ), February 2, 1824 issue, Volume 1, Number 7.
Below are letters of admission from Catholic bishops. They admit to this change of Yahweh's Laws!
