One Who Does Not Spread A False Report
Is Looked At As A Leader

One who keeps and upholds this Law would be considered trustworthy. When a person does not practice spreading a false report about another, the end result is peace, love, and joy.

An individual who allows himself to be corrected and taught by the Laws of Yahweh will reap the benefits Yahweh offers.

Psalm 94:12-13—
12 Blessed is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Yahweh, and teach out of Your Law;
13 So You may make him rest; cause him to escape, from the days of trouble, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

In the case of this Law, one can see these benefits immediately as they practice this Law.

For example, a report has been spread that a particular co-worker has been stealing from the company. This person does not particularly like you, but you know that he is not a thief. You have learned through the Laws of Yahweh that it is not right to spread a false report regardless of whom it is about. You put a stop to the spreading of this lie by obeying this Law and pointing it out to the others. When the man finds out it was you who stopped the false report, he is very thankful and you have gained a friend. You would also gain the respect of others who may have desired to do the same thing but lacked the knowledge of this simple Law to carry it out.

One who does not spread a false report is looked at as a leader. They base everything on the truth and will not put up with those who tear others down in order to build themselves up. A person who upholds this Law will keep himself from being weighed down with the rumors, gossip, and other false matters concerning other people.

Exodus 23:7—
Keep yourself far from a false matter; and do not put an innocent or righteous person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty.

These false matters tend to turn person against person, building hatred as they are spread. One who refuses to play a part in this evil would instead be a spreader of joyful and truthful matters. It would be easy to have a positive outlook and find the best attributes in others when one is keeping this Law.

There is great wisdom in removing false speaking from one's life, as King Solomon even advised.

Proverbs 4:24—
Put away from you a froward mouth; false and deceitful speech, and put perverse lips; dishonesty, far from you.

If an individual does this, he is consciously guarding what goes into and out of his mind. By doing this, one can obtain eternal life.

Proverbs 4:23—
Guard your mind with all diligence, for out of it flows the springs of life.

Revelation 22:14—
Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

You can choose to determine today within yourself that you will never partake of the breaking of this Law again. Herein lies the greatest individual blessing, which is knowing that even though you are only one individual out of billions, you have the power to make a difference in your life and the lives of others you come in contact with. Ultimately, this thought process will spread everywhere. The blessings to come, as a result of your actions, will be long lasting.
